The Hungarian national team had an excellent start to the match and confidently defeated Senegal in the first semi-final match, leading throughout.

It cannot be said that our team finished the group matches with a good taste, since after the first two obligatory wins, they suffered a simple defeat against Montenegro. It was possible to improve in the first semi-final match against Senegal.
The Hungarian national team started the match excellently, sufficiently hard and aggressively in defense, easily created chances from the front, which they mostly managed to convert into goals. With Győri-Lukács’s goal, we already led 11-2 in the 20th minute, the difference between the two teams was big, and Böde-Bíró defended well. The attacking game of the Africans revived for the last ten minutes, they showed one or two solutions that made many people notice them at this World Cup. They closed to six goals at the end of the first half, which also included the fact that the Hungarian team made more mistakes. In the second half, the Senegalese captain led the game 7-6, which worked, they were more effective. Despite this, Senegal did not really come within sight, in fact, in the first half, Petra Vámos managed to further increase the advantage and in the end, Vladimir Golovin’s team won with ten goals. Zsófi Szemerey was unfortunately injured in the match after a Senegalese player slipped on his knee, we wish the goalkeeper a speedy recovery!
Leading all the way, the Hungarian national team confidently defeated Senegal, which had performed surprisingly well so far and reached a draw against Croatia. Today’s other good news is that Croatia defeated Montenegro by one goal, which means that the Hungarian national team has its own destiny in its own hands again!
