DVSC SCHAEFFLER started the series of test matches with an away win against MTK-Budapest.
It was not an easy day for the girls, as they still trained in the Hódos in the morning, then got on a bus and headed for Budapest. At four in the afternoon, they played in the Riz Levente Sports and Events Hall against MTK, which had strengthened considerably during the summer.
The match started with two saves by Catherine Gabriel, we were in the lead at the beginning. Then Debrecen’s goal production stopped at six, the blue-white team reversed and pulled away (10-6). After Zoltán Szilágyi’s time-out, we quickly equalized, then MTK pulled away again by four and we caught up again, the Budapest team was ahead by one at the break. In the continuation, it was clear that both teams came into the match with hard work, there were many mistakes, but there were also nice solutions. Our defense improved a bit, thanks to this we mostly had the advantage, but the final game promised to be exciting. In the end, a goal by Míra Vámos, followed by a blocked attack, marked the victory for DVSC SCHAEFFLER.
