Polish national team goalkeeper Adrianna Placzek replaces the departing Catherine Gabriel. Our new player won the European League with Nantes in 2021.
Adrianna Platzek was born in 1993 in Lezno, near Gdansk. Her first professional club was Pogon Szczecin. She played in the final of the Challenge Cup in her first international season, and later made her debut in the EHF Cup. She became a foreign legionnaire for the first time in 2017. She moved to France, to Fleury Handball. After two seasons, she moved to Nantes, where she spent four seasons, and was a teammate of the now departing Catherine Gabriel for one year. She achieved her greatest success in this team so far, as she became the winner of the European League, and was also a key player for the team. In 2023, she moved to her third French team, Paris 92, and Jessica Ryde came to Nantes to replace her. She played in the group stage of the European Championship with the Parisians last season. She first participated in the Polish national team in 2016, and played in a total of four European Championships and two World Cups during her career.

I quickly called a few friends and everyone said that it was a real professional club with serious ambitions, so I quickly said yes. I played in France for eight years and I really wanted to change and find a new challenge for myself, so this request came at the best possible time. I have always wanted to try myself in the Champions League and I am also very curious about the Hungarian championship, so I am looking forward to joining the team.”
