After the domestic success three days ago, the Hungarian national team also defeated Switzerland away in the fourth round of the EHF EURO Cup. Petra Vámos scored 9 goals.
On February 28, in Tatabány, the Hungarian national team confidently won against Switzerland in the EURO Cup match, this time we played away from home against them. The match started at a fast pace, mainly the attackers excelled on both sides, neither side could defend effectively. At the end of the sixth minute, we led 4-3, and Csenge Kuczora scored for the third time. Petra Vámos also played very actively throughout, regularly scoring goals from her gains or distributing the ball well to her teammates. We led for the first time in the middle of the half with three goals. After a 5-0 Swiss attack, the hosts took the lead. Ours had no counter against the right-wing Altherr and the linebacker Schmid. At the beginning of the half, we did better, so the teams turned around with a one-goal Hungarian lead. At the beginning of the second half, Petra Vámos took control again, scoring five (!) goals in eight minutes, so we beat our opponent by four goals. In the last stage of the match, we were able to increase our advantage, and in the end, the Hungarian national team scored an eight-goal success away from home. Continuation in April, first the EURO Cup matches, then the Olympic qualifier in Debrecen!
