We were able to compete with the Danish star team only in the last ten minutes of the first half, and that was not enough to play a close match.
The nearly two thousand fans must have had a sense of deja vu at the beginning of the match. DVSC SCHAEFFLER started in the same way as in Odense. In the fifth minute, the Danish team had a 4:0 lead (we started with 0:6 in Denmark), while ours were just looking for their own game. The visiting team played at a completely different level in terms of concentration and tempo and it dragged on more and more. At halftime, the score was 10:3. Even though Zoltán Szilágyi asked for time a second time, the picture of the game did not change after that. Loki didn’t quite find the way to the opponent’s goal. There was a lot of uncertainty and technical errors, so Odense could score easy goals. In the 20th minute, the difference increased to nine. Then DVSC SCHAEFFLER magically recovered for the last 10 minutes. They managed to get up to speed, make the opponent make mistakes and, most importantly, score goals. Thanks to this, the difference between the two teams was reduced to three goals at halftime.
In the second half, Odense got up to speed sooner. We couldn’t do anything with the guests’ rock-hard defense, we barely managed to get into a clear shooting position in attack, while the Danes scored goals one after another from a quick start. In seven minutes, the difference increased to seven goals, and in the continuation, the visiting team pulled away even more. There were eleven among them. However, it should be noted here that in this period of the match, the two referees made at least as many mistakes as ours… To put it mildly, they made it easier for the Danish team, who played better anyway. Compared to the first half, the second half was different in that there was no big revival this time. Odense, aware of the big advantage, managed the match in a confident and professional manner. DVSC SCHAEFFLER fought hard, but this time there was a lot missing to be able to pressure the Danish star team at all. Remember, the girls played three tough matches in one week with a long weekend in Podgorica and a guest appearance in Győr. However, this can get a little tiring…

Zoltán Szilágyi: I can only be satisfied with the last 10 minutes of the first half. Then we played as expected in a Champions League match. We were tired for most of the match, which Odense took advantage of perfectly. Congratulations to the opponent.
Ole Gustav Gjekstad: I am very proud of my team, I think this time we managed to prepare perfectly from the opponent and the game went according to our will. The first 15 minutes of the first half were perfect, in the continuation the home team got on us a bit, but in the second half we managed to implement perfectly what we discussed during the break.
