DVSC Kézilabda Kft. submitted a protest due to what happened at the DVSC SCHAEFFLER-FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria championship match.
The reason for the protest is that in the ninth minute of the match against Ferencváros, Zsuzsanna Tomori re-entered the field before the end of her two-minute penalty (she was sent off at 6:41 and, according to the video recording, she was already on the field at 8:29, that’s when she started towards the substitution zone) which is illegal and punishable by another two-minute suspension. This is also clearly visible in the recordings of the M4 Sport channel, which broadcasts the meeting. Our second coach, Kudor Kitti, reported the violation to the federal representative sitting at the jury table, but no action was taken. According to our club’s point of view, Zsuzsanna Tomori’s violation significantly influenced the outcome of the match, since if the Fradi player had received another two-minute penalty, the home team could have played with a double man advantage for a short time, and then with a man advantage for another two minutes when the score was 2-2. It is a significant circumstance that Tomori would have played with two suspensions from the 11th minute, and considering that he is a handball player who plays an important role in defense, this could have significantly changed the picture of the game in the rest of the match, especially since by then the other three defenders of Fradi, Edwige couldn’t play because of a red card.
