Just like the Hungarian national team, the Netherlands also qualified for the Paris Olympics as group winners with Tamara Haggerty in its ranks.
The Dutch national team played in Spain in the five-round qualification tournament, and already after the second round, they got the plane ticket to Paris. Tamara Haggerty’s team first defeated Argentina and then the Czech Republic, while in the last round only the first place in the group was at stake against the hosts, and the Netherlands won 27-26. DVSC SCHAEFFLER’s legionnaire played in all three matches, was one of his team’s regular players in defense, and also scored three goals.
Jovana Jovovics, who made it to the 2024 Hungarian-Austrian-Swiss European Championship as a member of the Serbian national team, also returned happily to Debrecen.
