Thanks to its excellent defense in the first half, DVSC SCHAEFFLER got the two points in the league opener without any problems.

DVSC SCHAEFFLER started its long march in the home of Alba-Fehérvár. In addition to Dóra Hornyák and Kata Juhász, who were doing rehabilitation work, Petrus Mirtill, who was suffering from a minor injury, was also missing from the start. The home team took the lead, but we turned it around under the leadership of Míra Vámos, who started brilliantly. We just led 5-3 with the third goal of our left winger. The home team asked for time, but that didn’t help either, by the 20th minute, with Planéta Szimonetta’s third goal, we were already six ahead of Fehérvár (6-12). The defense was good, Catherine Gabriel pulled down the curtain, and Vámos Petra could not be neutralized by the hosts. After the break, we had a small ups and downs, in the 41st minute Alba closed to four (18–22), but then we caught the thread again and secured the victory. Gréta Kácsor’s bomb resulted in the final result, we confidently scored the two points at the start of the championship.

Roland Horváth: Unfortunately, we started the match badly and this was also a problem during the preparation. Our defense was very bad, we conceded a lot of goals, which is a lot even against a team of this level. I’m sorry that the match wasn’t closer, we also spoiled the end. We need to improve our thinking so that everyone can give the best of their knowledge.
Zoltán Szilágyi: We knew that we were in for a tough match, Fehérvár didn’t give up even when they were at a serious disadvantage, they didn’t give up the match for a minute. I am happy with the confident victory, I can be particularly satisfied with the defense in the first half. We also had creative things in attack. In the second half, we had serious problems in defense and finishing, which is why the tenacious home team was able to come back.
