On Wednesday, at 6 p.m., DVSC SCHAEFFLER will host Alba Fehérvárin Hódos. The second half of the 2023/24 season begins with this match.
On September 1, against Fehérvár, DVSC SCHAEFFLER started the championship, and with a confident start (23-31) we took the two points from Alba’s home. The team from Fehérvár has had a flurry of performances so far this season: they played a close match at Vác’s home, they won at Kisvárda, and the opposite pole was a home defeat against Békéscsaba. In any case, it turned out that if Alba gets a good day, it can be dangerous for anyone.
The girls from Debrecen won with a great game in the home of the German champion Bietigheim on Sunday, and although the weekend was very tiring, the journey home didn’t seem so long because of the two points they won. It was already Monday when the team bus arrived at Hódos shortly before two o’clock in the morning from Liszt Ferenc Airport, so only regeneration work was on the program that day. That left Tuesday for the preparation against Alba.
“We don’t have much time left to rest, but we are already used to the forced march,” said Konszuéla Hámori, who had a great performance in Germany, before Wednesday’s league game against Alba. – The Fehérvár team is an unpleasant opponent, young people are energetic, and with that, we can’t have any other goal than to get the two points. We will also have two games this week, but it is so much easier that we can play at home on Wednesday and Saturday!”
The match between DVSC SCHAEFFLER and Alba-Fehérvár, starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, will be refereed by György Sándor and Balázs Szabó.
