On Wednesday, one hour earlier than usual, at 5 p.m., we will welcome the Dunaújváros team in Hódos.
According to the draw, the teams would have played the match in Dunaújváros, but after the two long bus rides last week, we wanted to avoid another 600-kilometer journey before the BL match against Bietigheim, so we asked for the right to choose the pitch to be exchanged, to which the Dunaújváros team sportily agreed, just they asked for the match to start at 5:00 p.m.
Thus, the new chapter of one of the most historic duels in the domestic first division begins at five o’clock in the afternoon in Hódos. This will be the 90th NB I match of the two teams, the record so far is balanced, with 45 DVSC and 41 Kohász successes, three matches ended with a draw. In the last season, DVSC SCHAEFFLER dominated the matches between the two teams: in the domestic championship last September, we won 40-27, while in the last game of the season, in May of this year, we won 39-25 in Dunaújváros. The two teams also met in the round of 16 of the Hungarian Cup, when we won 38-23 in Hódos.
DKKA started the championship with a defeat against Ferencváros, then defeated Alba-Fehérvár and Vasas, so they await the trip to Debrecen with four points after three rounds. In recent days, the girls from Debrecen traveled more than 1,500 kilometers by bus for the two away matches, and although the team has two matches waiting for them this week, at least they don’t have to travel.
“Now we feel firsthand how tiring the Wednesday-Saturday rhythm is, but we try to relax as much as possible in the little time available – said our left winger, Petrus Mirtill. – Dunaújváros is a very competitive, tactically well-prepared team. We always play good games against us, and I expect that now as well.”
Stefánia Kovács-Sebők and Rebeka Vastag-Réti will lead the match between DVSC SCHAEFFLER and Dunaújváros KKA, starting at 5 p.m. on September 20. The match will be broadcast live on MKSZ’s YouTube channel.
The box office of the Hódos Imre Rendezvénycsarnok opens one hour before the start, at 4 p.m. A non-seat ticket costs HUF 1,500, and a seat ticket costs HUF 2,500. Before the match, you can also buy your tickets for the DVSC SCHAEFFLER-Bietigheim Champions League group match starting at 14:00 on Sunday, September 24.
