Míra Vámos: another 2 years in Debrecen

Míra Vámos’ contract would expire this summer, but the player and the club have agreed to continue, so the left winger will remain a DVSC SCHAEFFLER handball player for another two years, i.e. until the summer of 2027.

The left winger of the junior European champion came to Debrecen from the National Handball Academy in the summer of 2021, following her sister, Petra, who signed a contract with our club two years before. Míra’s brave, multi-faceted game was quickly loved by the audience, and she proved that she can be counted on in important situations. The young talent has since become a mature adult player. She has already played 102 matches in a DVSC SCHAEFFLER shirt, scoring a total of 243 goals. Míra Vámos’ contract would have expired this summer, but the parties agreed on an extension, so the left winger will stay in Debrecen for another two years.
“I’m glad that we managed to reach an agreement with the club, because I feel great in Debrecen – said Míra about the extension. – It gives me a good feeling that they still count on me and that I can help them achieve their goals. I am surrounded by supportive teammates who encourage me to do my best every day. My university studies are also connected to the city, which also played a role in my decision. So I think I’m in the best place from every point of view, so there was no question on my part whether I would stay.”
