Good defense and a great performance by the wingers were the keys to the ten-goal away win against Vasas.
Both teams started the match with a lot of mistakes, the ball stuttered in their hands. When our game became a little calmer, we moved quickly, and with a six-nil rush, we already led 8-2. Especially our wingers excelled. Petra Vámos scored when she wanted to, and our defense was fine, so entering the 20th minute, the home team had only three goals. At the end of the half, the concentration decreased a little, so the home team made use of their disadvantage.
In the continuation, DVSC SCHAEFFLER’s advantage quickly increased again. Míra Vámos, who came to the left wing for the second half, shot variedly and effectively. Saturday’s winner Jovana Jovovics also flashed a few times, and Dóra Hornyák scored her first goal after her injury – from more than 30 meters, into an empty net. Nina Szabó, who “returned” from the loan, also came in twice, so Loki easily did what was required.

Csaba Konkoly: We knew that our opponent would be an international, top-class team. We would have liked to compete with Debrecen in the number of runs, but unfortunately it didn’t work out either. In the first quarter of an hour, we respected our opponent too much, but it is gratifying that we were able to reduce the difference in the continuation. The two teams have different goals, we will continue to work.
Zoltán Szilágyi: I’m happy for the two points, that was our goal. It was certain that we would not show outstanding form, I am glad that our defense came together in certain stages of the match. We have many tasks ahead of us, with many matches, I am confident that we will be able to be successful in this different type of composition.
