Last match of the year in Kisvárda

DVSC SCHAEFFLER will play the last match of 2023 at the home of Kisvárda Master Good SE on December 30. Dóra Hornyák returns.

The team marks the end of a long and meaningful year on December 30 in the city of Szabolcs. Championship and Hungarian Cup bronze medals, BL appearance, many great battles are behind the girls, and of course it does not matter with what result we say goodbye to 2023.
So far, we have played 25 NB I matches against Kisvárda; In addition to 19 victories, there were three draws and three times the Szabolcs could enjoy two points. Our thoroughly rejuvenated opponent has earned seven points so far this season and is in ninth place in the table. The two most successful players of Várda are Szabina Karnik and Gréta Juhász, who played a role in the World Cup. They scored 85 of the team’s 233 goals.
After the short Christmas break, the girls from Debrecen trained on December 26, and have been preparing for the end of the year ever since. The team captain, Dóra Hornyák, will be in the squad for the match, who is back in 100% condition after her cruciate ligament surgery, and can play again after 381 days.
“I was really looking forward to this day, the one year I missed was long,” said the understandably excited Dóra Hornyák. – I worked a lot to come back, sometimes I suffered, sometimes I cried, sometimes things were a little easier. Anyone who has experienced this knows how difficult it is to wait for months before you can finally get back on the field!”
As for the last championship of the year – which will be Dodó’s first in 2023 – DVSC SCHAEFFLER’s team captain expects victory.
“We definitely want to score two points in Kisvárda – said Dodó. – We are prepared for our opponent, and if we do what we know how to do, it should not be a problem to win!
