Just like in the three previous away matches, DVSC SCHAEFFLER confidently won in Dunaújváros, so they won a bronze medal in the championship, as well as the Hungarian Cup.
Poczetnyik’s goal gave Dunaújváros the lead for the first and last time in the match. Kácsor responded immediately from the next attack, then Petra Vámos doubled and from then on the Debrecen roller started. Planéta’s through shots came, our wingers started well, and the defense was rock hard again. In the first 10 minutes, the home team could only score two goals, while Loki scored ten. Kohász needed a great display to temporarily reduce the gap, but DVSC SCHAEFFLER still scored eight at halftime. The girls from Debrecen played at a completely different speed and standard than the home team, so by the twentieth minute the advantage was already ten goals, of which Loki kept eight at the break (14-22).
In the sequel, it was a bit like the team stayed in the dressing room. Loki missed five attacks, four of which were retaliated by the home team, so the advantage was halved in a flash. Zoltán Szilágyi called for a time-out, which had the result: the defense was tough again, and in attack Vámos, Planéta and Töpfner made sure that the handful of visiting fans could calm down. In the 43rd minute, the ten-goal difference was restored. Töpfner was unstoppable, Vámos moved the team brilliantly and Giegerich, who entered the goal as a substitute, added his own. The ending was again a joy game. Torda, Csernyanszki, Panyi and Csenge Kiss arrived on the field, and the others were already leaning back on the bench waiting for the match to end and to celebrate again. Loki also finished third in the championship. The Bronze Age has arrived!

Rapatyi Tamás: Today’s match reflected our performance throughout the year. We had good periods and then very bad ones. Our spring season was chaotic, with the many injuries, the fluctuating performance, I am very sorry that we slipped so far in the table at the end of the championship, but we struggled with many difficulties. I am confident that next year we will have a more stable season in all respects.
Szilágyi Zoltán: I am very happy that we managed to win this match by such a large percentage. We knew that we had to give one hundred percent in the last four games if we wanted to win another bronze medal. The team has performed very confidently and convincingly in recent weeks, our goal difference is 67 in these four games, which speaks for itself. I am very proud to be the coach of this team, we must continue on this path.
