DVSC SCHAEFFLER has extended with another self-educated player. The new contract of Petra Füzi-Tóvizi, who is also a regular in the national team, is valid until June 30, 2027.
She was 16 years, 6 months and 3 days old when she made his debut in NB 1, in the domestic championship against Dunaújváros. All this happened in September 2015, almost 10 years ago. Since then, she played in 253 matches in red and white and scored 486 goals. However, according to her own admission, she was not very good at first and not many people believed in her. Compared to this, today she is considered one of the best full-backs, she has become a regular in the Hungarian national team, and in fact, according to many, she gave the best, most balanced performance at the Paris Olympics. In 2018, she was a member of the Hungarian national team that won the junior world championship in Debrecen. In the same year, she made his debut in the senior national team, where she scored two goals. She has now been capped 82 times and scored a total of 101 goals in national colors. Her individual goal record in the league is 9! In 2020, she scored so many times in Érd, but this season she also had a game (against Vasas) where she scored 7 goals. She is the team’s master of fun, one of the audience’s biggest favorites and a model of club loyalty.
“For me, it’s also an emotional issue. It’s hard to imagine myself in another team or in another city. A lot of things are connected to Debrecen, I grew up here, I live here, I have already gained a lot of experience with the team during my career so far. We went through all the options and after considering everything, I decided to stay. I like living in Debrecen, so I am very happy that I can continue here. It is also the right decision from a professional point of view, as I want to develop further, for which DVSC SCHAEFFLER provides the perfect opportunity. Here, we can prepare under all given, professional conditions, and the team is getting stronger every year and has serious ambitions, which is very important.” Petra Füzi-Tóvizi’s contract would have expired next summer. The club has now extended this by two years, so the new contract is valid until June 30, 2027.
