DVSC SCHAEFFLER joins the field in the 3rd qualifying round of the EHF Europa League, a winning duel is needed to reach the group stage.
Since the EHF did not give our club a wild card in the Champions League this season, DVSC SCHAEFFLER will join the field of the Europa League.
The organization of the series has not changed, 16 teams will participate in the group stage starting in January. Denmark’s Ikast, Germany’s Metzingen, Romania’s Dunarea Braila and France’s Nantes joined the group without qualification, these four teams will be the top seed of the four groups.
Of the other 33 teams, 18 (including Vác) start their performance in the 2nd qualifying round, nine pairs are formed, the winners advance to the 3rd round. In this phase, for the 12 seeded teams (including DVSC SCHAEFFLER and Mosonmagyaróvár), the nine qualifiers of the 2nd round plus the three teams that appear without qualifiers among the unseeded teams of the 3rd round will be drawn.
The second and third qualifying rounds will be drawn next Tuesday, July 16. The game days of the 3rd qualifying round are November 9-10 and November 16-17.
