Dóra Hornyák will remain a DVSC SCHAEFFLER player for another year. The team captain’s contract expires this summer, but the club offered him another one-year contract, which the player accepted.
Dóra Hornyák was barely 14 years old when, on September 16, 2006, in the domestic championship against Vasas, she played for the first time in a NB I match. The debut turned out to be memorable, as Dodó – even as a child – scored a goal in his first senior match. In his first season, he played a total of 112 games in red and white, was a member of the team in the BL, and then left his parent club in 2011. He played in Veszprém, in Győr he was able to raise the trophy for the winner of the Champions League twice, then he joined Fradi with Vác’s touch. In the summer of 2019, her little son, Bendegúz, was born.
Dodó returned to his fostering association in 2020. He has been the captain of DVSC SCHAEFFLER since the start of the 2021/22 season. He played with the team in both the Europa League and the Champions League, and although he mainly plays a defensive role, he has already scored in both series. In his second season in Debrecen, he has played in 52 matches so far. In December 2022, in the match against Siófok, he suffered a cruciate ligament tear. After a long rehabilitation, he returned to the field last December.
“I am very happy to be here for another year. Recovering from a serious injury, I returned after a long absence, and it is always very risky to return in such cases, but luckily everything went well. Of course, I will try to do everything in the future to be able to help the team – said Dodó in connection with the extension.”
Dóra Hornyák’s new contract runs until the summer of 2025.
