In the first ten minutes, the game still stalled, but in the continuation, DVSC SCHAEFFLER was overwhelming both in defense and attack, and in the end beat Szombathelyi KKA with 12 goals.
Newcomer Szombathely started bravely and well. The guests took the lead and even doubled their advantage in just over a minute. DVSC SCHAEFFLER’s defense was difficult to put together in this match as well, so it is no wonder that in the first 10-12 minutes Bo Olsen Rudgaard’s team had the advantage. In the 15th minute, they managed to convert for the first time, mainly thanks to the fact that Jovana Jovovics got into the match excellently. Zoltán Szilágyi: I was satisfied with the team’s defense today, it was the key to the victory. Szombathely got off to a much better start, we played the way we can from the middle of the first half. The defense was fine, we were able to launch quick raids and there were excellent individual performances as well. Jovana Jovovics came in very well in the first half, and Jessica Ryde was outstanding in the beginning of the match.
Bo Olsen Rudgaard: Debrecen has a lot of good players and they are very strong, as they proved today. We had a very good ten minutes at the beginning of the game, but then we couldn’t stop the attacks of DVSC SCHAEFFLER. Our defense was not efficient enough in the first half, and although it improved in the second half, our attacks faltered. We were capable of that much today.
