We won the two championship points in Vác by fighting as a team. Thorleifsdóttir was the most successful with 7 goals, Ryde saved over 45%.
Míra Vámos was injured and Dodó Hornyák was unable to travel to Vác due to illness, so the young Dorina Kelemen was also nominated by the professional staff for the match. The away sector was full, more than 30 fans from Debrecen cheered on the team. DVSC SCHAEFFLER started the match, but after a missed tackle, the Germans scored first from a quick start. Then Jovovic equalized. The first eight minutes were about this: Vác always took the lead, and we equalized one after another. At the beginning of the ninth minute, we had the advantage for the first time with Töpfner’s goal. When we trailed by two goals, the home team asked for time, but this did not change the picture of the game much. The difference quickly increased to four goals. Ours managed the advantage well in the continuation and even increased it in the first half. At the break, the score was 12-17.
We started the second half with an eight-and-a-half-minute scoreless period, and Vác managed to score a goal, even though Zoltán Szilágyi asked for time in the meantime. Thorleifsdóttir’s goal calmed us down a bit, but at halftime we were still only two goals ahead. This time too, many chances were missed and there were plenty of technical errors, we couldn’t even tear the home team away from us. The second half of the game was a little better. In the 53rd minute, the five-goal difference was restored, which required some Ryde feats. There was no need to worry much in the beginning, as Vác could not get closer than three goals. It ended 23-28.

Coaches’ speeches:
Horváth Roland: We prepared a lot for this match, but unfortunately we were left without a point. We had several opportunities to take control, but unfortunately we didn’t take advantage of it. I have a sense of loss because some of my players did not perform as we expected. Of course, it’s not a shame to lose to Debrecen, but I’m still a little disappointed.
Zoltán Szilágyi: Vác made us fight hard, they came back into the game at the beginning of the second half. We were in a difficult situation, we went into the match with a heavy burden on our shoulders. The girls were united, they showed that they can fight together. We worked a lot in the past period, the reaction of the team and the club in this difficult situation was positive. We are happy about the success, I hope we will show our face in the next matches as well.
