The next stop of DVSC SCHAEFFLER’s tight schedule is the league game against Győr on Wednesday from 6 p.m. The match will be broadcast live by M4Sport.
The great journey continues, so that the players of DVSC SCHAEFFLER did not even return home from the Montenegrin capital. The team from Debrecen flew to Vienna the day after the winning CL battle against Buducsnoszt Bemax, and from there the girls headed to Győr. Until Wednesday’s championship derby, the ETO Park Hotel is the headquarters of DVSC SCHAEFFLER, located just a five-minute walk from the Audi Arena, where Loki is preparing for its second match of the season against Győr. The sides will definitely meet four times this season (two each in the CL and the championship), but they can meet more than that, even in the final phase of the Hungarian Cup, of course if both teams reach the final four.
For now, however, the focus is on Wednesday’s match, which, like the first ETO-Loki match played in September, will be hosted by the town on the Rába coast. In the second round of the CL group stage, on September 16, we kept up with the hosts in the first half (14-10), then after the break, ETO gradually increased the difference and finally won 35-23. The biggest positive of that meeting for us was that Liliána Csernyanszki’s goal was chosen as the best goal of the round. The Győr still at 100 percent in the CL, took the two points from the home of Odense over the weekend, and since they played in Denmark on Saturday, they could rest one day more. Here, there are quite a few traces of the battle in Podgorica, several players are struggling with minor injuries, but Zoltán Szilágyi is confident that he can count on all his players against Audi ETO. At the same time, there can be no complaints about the atmosphere after the very important victory in Podgorica.
“Obviously, this victory against Buducsnoszt was a positive charge for us, but I think we can expect a completely different match against Győr,” Míra Vámos told our website. As we have seen, the Győr are doing great in the CL, their defense is excellent and their goalkeeping performance is also fantastic, but I am confident that we can play a good match against them. It is not an easy task to achieve a good result in Győr, in fact. We will definitely need extra achievements in addition to the many good ones, and then we can compete with them.”
Ferenc Felhő and Tamás Öcsi will lead the Győr Audi ETO KC–DVSC SCHAEFFLER match at the Audi Arena (Tóth László utca 1, Győr) on Wednesday, January 17, at 6 p.m.
The meeting will be broadcast live on the M4Sport channel.
