The first 15 minutes were still close, but DVSC SCHAEFFLER continued to roll again. We also defeated Kisvárda with a convincing performance by a large difference.

We led 2-0 with Sercien-Ugolin’s double, but then Kisvárda equalized within a minute. The visitors didn’t let us get away at first. After 15 minutes of play, the score was still 8-7. However, DVSC SCHAEFFLER changed gears in the second half. The defense rallied, and we scored easy goals one after another from the balls we gained. In the 19th minute, there were four between them for the first time, and then with two consecutive empty-net goals by Niki Tóth, the difference increased to six. Kisvárda was not only weak in defense, but also couldn’t be really dangerous in attack, so we increased the lead even further until the break. At halftime, we were already leading by eight (19-11).

Kisvárda scored the first goal of the second half, but Kristin Thorleifsdóttir responded immediately. With Sercien-Ugolin’s goal, we first led by nine, and then after Petrus Mirtill’s winger came on, we had a ten-goal difference by the 36th minute. Zoltán Szilágyi tried to give everyone a chance to play and those who entered the field were grateful for this. It is interesting that Petrus Mirtill was replaced by Niki Tóth in the left winger position from the 45th minute. Míra Vámos could not play this time due to a minor injury. Our manager scored her fifth goal from this position. Our talented academy player, Rebeka Balogh, also arrived for the last eight minutes, and she immediately scored from the left winger position.

We saved a bit in the second half, which I didn’t like, but otherwise we were confident and played convincingly throughout. We had some nice things in defense and attack. I’m glad that I was able to give everyone a chance to play. I hope that we continue with similar momentum.

Krisztián Józsa: I congratulate Debrecen on the victory and the game. I’m disappointed because our attack and defense were both very weak. We didn’t show the same face that we have in recent weeks. We got a big slap, we were a little dizzy maybe, but maybe this slap came at the right time. We have to learn from our mistakes and improve in the games that are really important to us.
