A Swedish national team goalkeeper arrived

Sweden’s Europa League winner Jessica Ryde has signed a three-year contract with an option for another year. The 30-year-old goalkeeper comes from bankrupt Neptunes De Nantes.

59-time international player Jessica Ryde started her adult career in the Swedish Lugi HF band. Her next team was H 65 Höör, also from Sweden, with which she won the championship title and won the Challenge Cup. Between 2017 and 2023, the Danish national team played in Herning Ikast, where it achieved its greatest success to date, as it won the Europa League in 2023. She spent the last season in the French team Neptunes De Nantes, but the club declared bankruptcy at the end of the season and was liquidated due to the financial difficulties of the majority shareholder, the Réalités group.
Although DVSC SCHAEFFLER’s squad was already formed for the current season and the professional staff was not looking for additional players, the club, like several leading European teams, wanted to take advantage of the opportunity and offered a contract to the routine goalkeeper, who could be a serious reinforcement. Jessica Ryde has signed a three-year deal with an option for a further year, which also shows that the club is counting on her for the long term.
