DVSC SCHAEFFLER struggled to get going, but eventually won by a large margin. Petra Füzi-Tóvizi, who scored seven goals, became the man of the match.
DVSC SCHAEFFLER started the match without Alexandra Töpfner. The winger, who led the home goal scoring list, was injured in the match against Esztergom (suffered a concussion from a hit by Hajtai) and has still not fully recovered. The home team scored a goal from their first attack, through Petrus Mirtill, but the good start was not followed by a good continuation. MTK was already leading by 3:2 and the visiting team played handball bravely in the continuation. In the first half of the game, the capital team was constantly leading, sometimes by one, sometimes by two goals. The defense did not work, as is also shown by the fact that the team conceded 14 goals in 17 minutes and also missed opportunities. Zoltán Szilágyi got tired of his team’s previous production in the 18th minute. First, he called time out, then changed goalkeepers (Ryde came in instead of Gabriel), which brought a positive change. DVSC SCHAEFFLER first took the lead, then gradually pulled away from their opponent. Jovovic and Petrus were the main scorers. The latter had already scored six goals at halftime. Dóra Hornyák, who emerged as the number one seven-point shooter, also stood out with her 3/3 statistics. The half-time score was 23-19.
The first half of the second half was very similar to the first 15 minutes. MTK continued to play effectively and took advantage of the defensive mistakes of the Debrecen team, as evidenced by the fact that in the 48th minute there was only a four-goal difference. DVSC SCHAEFFLER then crushed their opponent towards the end of the match. The guests were probably tired by the end, so they didn’t really know what to do with Thorleifsdóttir, who shot well from a distance, Csernyánszki, who played creatively with handball, or Petra Füzi-Tóvizi, who eventually scored seven goals. Several players were in the running for the title of best player of the match until the end of the match. For example, Dóra Hornyák, who shot sevens flawlessly (5/5), and Petrus Mirtill, who tried very effectively in the first half, but in the end Petra Füzi-Tóvizi became the man of the match. DVSC SCHAEFFLER won 43-33. The number of goals scored and conceded was also very high. The team can be proud of the former, less so of the latter.

Coaches’ speeches:
Zoltán Szilágyi: You can’t start a match like this, it was evident in our later performance. I would expect greater concentration, a much higher level of enthusiasm from my team. I am glad that we finally achieved a confident victory, because this is important for achieving our goals.
Péter Woth: We scored thirty-three goals in Debrecen, which is very nice, but unfortunately it is worth nothing. I would be much happier if we only scored twenty, but won. Our defense was not tough enough and the team didn’t really have a consistent performance, which we really needed.
