Thanks in part to the excellent play of Jovana Jovovics, Serbia beat Slovenia 62–60 on aggregate and qualified for the World Cup. The Swedish national team, with Kristin Thorleifsdóttir in the squad, beat Kosovo twice and are also participating in the World Cup.

After the successful Olympic qualifier, the three members of the Hungarian national team from Debrecen, Petra Füzi-Tóvizi, Gréta Kácsor and Petra Vámos, as well as Tamara Haggerty, who qualified with the Dutch national team, are training with the team again. Since the Netherlands and Hungary have been placed in the same group, the players of DVSC SCHAEFFLER will be able to compete against each other in the five-ring games.
