Seven in the national teams – our players against each other

Seven players from the DVSC SCHAEFFLER team have received national team invitations this week, and Zoltán Szilágyi is there as an assistant to head coach Vladimir Golovin with the Hungarian national team. Several of our players will also be playing against their club teammates.

Let’s start with the largest group, Grosch Vivien, Petrus Mirtill and Tóvizi Petra are preparing for the Hungarian national team this week, and of course Zoltán Szilágyi is also there with the squad, who is helping Vladimir Golovin. Our team will take to the field twice this week. On Thursday, they will play behind closed doors, and on Saturday at 4 p.m. in front of an audience in Tatabánya, against Sweden. Kristin Thorleifsdóttir is a member of the Swedish squad, so she will be playing handball against her teammates again after the European Championship in December. Interestingly, Tóvizi Petra was elected vice-captain, while the Czech was Katrin Klujber. Adrianna Placzek and Jovana Jovovics will also be watching the field. The Polish national team, with our goalkeeper in the squad, will host Serbia, which will be playing with Jovi, in Gniezno, at the Mieczysław Lopatka Sports Hall. Alicia Toublanc, who scored 11 goals against Gloria Bistrita, will be playing for the French national team, close to Debrecen. Alicia and her team will play two test matches against Romania on Thursday and Saturday, at the Oradea Arena in Oradea. According to plans, DVSC SCHAEFFLER will be able to practice with a full squad again next Monday, so it would be an exaggeration to say that there is plenty of time to prepare for next Wednesday’s match in Esztergom.
