The following teams have been given free cards: FTC–Rail Cargo Hungaria, DVSC SCHAEFFLER, Podravka Koprivnica (Croatia), Ikast HB (Denmark), Brest Bretagne (France), Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Gloria Bistrita-Nasaud (Romania).
The group stage draw will be held on Friday at 3 p.m. in Vienna.
“This is a great honor for both the club and the city,” said our head coach, Zoltán Szilágyi. The participation in the Champions League is a serious opportunity that we can benefit from in the long term. It is positive that we already have experience in the elite league, and in the 2023/24 season we established ourselves among the best on the continent. I expect the team in formation to prove that it did not receive the opportunity undeservedly. It is important that this also means serious motivation for the players from the beginning of the preparation.”
