Dóra Hornyák: 2026!

Dóra Hornyák will remain a player of DVSC SCHAEFFLER for another year. From the summer of 2026, she will continue to work as an employee of the club.

Dóra Hornyák was barely 14 years old when she made her first appearance in a NB I match on September 16, 2006, in a home league match against Vasas. The debut was memorable, as Dodó – as a child – scored a goal in her first adult match. In her first season, she played a total of 112 matches in red and white, was a member of the team participating in the Champions League, and then left her parent club in 2011. She played in Veszprém, Győr, lifted the Champions League trophy twice, and then joined Fradi after moving to Vác. Her son, Bendegúz, was born in the summer of 2019, and she subsequently returned to her parent club in 2020. Since the start of the 2021/22 season, she has been the team captain of DVSC SCHAEFFLER. She also played in the Europa League and the Champions League with the team. Dóra Hornyák has played 259 matches for DVSC so far, scoring a total of 443 goals. Although head coach Zoltán Szilágyi primarily relies on the team captain in defense, she has recently been actively involved in scoring goals. In the last championship match, against MTK, she shot the seven-meter throws flawlessly, as she scored five times out of five attempts.

– I am very happy to be a member of the team for another year. I don’t need to say how much DVSC means to me. I am deeply attached to the city and the club, I have many fond memories from here and I love the team very much. We have serious goals for the next season. Of course, I will try to do everything I can to achieve them. I can certainly help in defense, but if necessary, I will also take on the sevens – said Dodó in connection with the extension.

Dóra Hornyák will assist DVSC SCHAEFFLER as a player until next summer, and after that she will continue to work as an employee of the club.
