We have terminated the contract with Nikolett Tóth by mutual agreement. The centre back will continue with another team from the summer, but until then she will do everything she can to help our club achieve its goal.

Nikolett Tóth joined our team in the summer of 2024, signing a two-year contract. So far, she has played 20 matches for DVSC SCHAEFFLER, playing an average of about 20 minutes and scoring a total of 26 goals. Her best performance was in the home match against Kisvárda on January 11, when she scored six goals and eventually received the best player of the match award. Niki Tóth became a national team player during her time in Debrecen and won a bronze medal at the European Championship in 2024. In addition to all this, it can be said that both the club and the player expected more from the cooperation. Our club initiated the change, which the player also agreed to, so we terminated the contract with the manager by mutual agreement, effective June 30. Niki Tóth will of course be a player of DVSC SCHAEFFLER until the summer and will try to do everything possible to help the club achieve its goal.

– I am very sorry that it turned out this way. I would have liked to continue developing, fulfilling myself and achieving success at club and individual level in Debrecen. I fell in love with the city, the life here, as well as the atmosphere of the hall and working together with the team during matches and training. However, given the current situation, we saw it as good that I will not continue my career here from next season. However, the team still has very important tasks ahead of me in the rest of the season, and I will try to play as best as possible to contribute to achieving the goals – said Niki.
