Petrus Mirtill has been playing handball in great shape in recent weeks. The statistical indicators of our left winger are fantastic. He did not miss a single shot in the last three matches.
On Sunday, he scored five goals out of five shots for Vác, two out of two against Kisvárda, and nine out of nine attempts at home to MTK. These are the indicators of Petrus Mirtill in the last three matches of DVSC SCHAEFFLER, i.e. 16 attempts without an error. However, the series is even longer, as his last two attempts were also successful in the home match against Mosonmagyaróvár, so he has 18 shots – without a loss. (Incidentally, he scored seven goals from eight shots against MKC, not a single bad attempt was saved by the goalkeeper, but bounced off the post.)
“Mirtill started his career as a goalkeeper in sponge handball, then he got out into the field – remembered DVSC club legend Rózsa Tóth, who was Petrus Mirtill’s first coach and worked with him for five years. – In one of our important matches, the opponent’s left winger repeatedly outsmarted our goalkeeper, so Mirtill put on a signal jersey and stood in the goal. In the end, we won by one goal, because Micike solved what I asked him to do in this position as well. Although all this happened a long time ago, it is certainly important that Mirtill can think with the goalkeeper’s head. Of course, apart from that, she is a talented, hardworking, smiling girl and a great person. His shooting repertoire is very diverse and not only because of his excellent abilities! I know that professional handball players also practice a lot separately, after training, and this brings results. I currently work for the DSI U11 team and the little girls’ favorite is Petrus Mirtill, who behaves in an exemplary manner both on and off the field!”
