What a fight, what a win!!!

Excellent defense, fantastic goalkeeper performance, real teamwork! This is how we defeated the two-time CL winner Buducsnoszt.

The start was shocking, less than ninety seconds had passed and Buducsnosz led 2-0. More than scary… Then, in the next 14 minutes, we conceded only one goal, thanks to which we turned a quickly accumulated deficit into a four-goal advantage. In the meantime, Bojana Popovics, the coach of Buducsnoszt, who won the Champions League six times as a player, asked for time, but in the short term she could not stabilize her team’s position either. Of course, this also required the other side. The tight, mutual-helping defense, the extra goalkeeping performance and the superhuman production of Konszuéla Hámori. But even though we scored four goals, Buducsnoszt did not give up and came back into the game.

After the break, we started again, Catherine Gabriel pulled down the curtain again, Koni continued to parade, Alexandra Töpfner scored the penalties reliably. Then Liliána Csernyánszki came. At the age of 19, she took part in a decisive BL match, but how…. He scored three goals, proving once again what potential she has. Approaching the goal, Cseri’s goal made the lead five for the first time. At the end, a Cathy parade still fit in, Cardoso’s seven-pointer was saved by our French goalkeeper. We have our second victory in Group A of the BL, we are fighting for promotion, just as we dreamed…

Szilágyi Zoltán: It was a great battle and especially in light of our defeat on Wednesday. I am very proud of the girls, as they proved what kind of sportsmen they are, Our defence was stable and this was accompanied by an excellent goalkeeping performance. Our attacking game was also creative, we were able to react to the opponent’s defensive changes.

Bojana Popovics: After the bad first ten minutes, we sorted out the lines and got back into the game. Unfortunately, we made a lot of mistakes in the second half and Debrecen took advantage of this and deservedly won.
