The Hungarian national team led by Zoltán Szilágyi and Kitti Kudor, which included our senior team player Liliána Csernyánszki, as well as our three academics Anna Panyi, Panni Kostyó and Zoé Makó, defeated Denmark with nine goals in the final. They are European Champions with a 100% performance.
On July 5, the Hungarian junior national team traveled to Mioveni, Romania, for the U19 European Championship. The next day, in the group stage against the French was already waiting for Zoltán Szilágyi’s team. The opponent led for a long time, but in the end, our team was calmer and defeated their opponent with a goal scored in the last seconds! Next came the match against Serbia, in which the Hungarian team dominated throughout and in the end proved to be better than their opponent with six goals. The girls started the last group match well and did not let go of the advantage they had built up at the beginning, defeating Norway by eight goals.
The first opponent in the semi-finals was Montenegro. It was hard for us to adapt to the 7-6 game of the Montenegrins at the beginning, the first half was tight. However, in the second half, thanks to Liliána Csernyanszki’s excellence, the Szilágyi team took the initiative and won a three-goal victory. Next was the match against Denmark, in which everything went according to our ideas, and in the end they defeated their northern opponent with a superior score of nineteen goals. The Hungarian national team reached the semi-finals with a perfect performance, which faced the host Romania in the top four. In the first half, there was still a close battle on the pitch, but in the second half, Zoltán Szilágyi’s team managed to get the better of the hosts and deservedly won the match. In the final, they had to fight against Denmark for the gold medal. The northerners were in the lead for a significant part of the first half, but in the second thirty minutes they managed to turn it around! The Hungarians won the second half with twelve goals! The end is a nine-goal success, in this age group we managed to win the European Championship for the third time in a row!
DVSC SCHAEFFLER’s Liliána Csenyánszki scored 32 goals at the European Championship, making her the second most successful Hungarian player! We congratulate the Hungarian national team, especially the Debrecen team: Zoltán Szilágyi, the national coach and his assistant, Kitti Kudor, Attila Gyúró Kazsimér as the third team member, Liliana Csernyasznki, who will also be in the DVSC SCHAEFFLER next season, and our three academics, Panni Kostyó, Zoé Makó and Panyi Anna!
