Let every match be a celebration in the CL!

According to our head coach, Zoltán Szilágyi, our goal in Group A of the elite league is to reach the sixth place in the round of 16, but we should not consider this as an expectation for the team.

After the draw in Vienna, the group classification of the Champions League 2023/24 series was formed. DVSC SCHAEFFLER will be in Group A along with Romanian CSM Bucharest, Győr Audi ETO KC, Swedish Savehof, French Brest, Danish Odense, Montenegrin Buducsnoszt Podgorica and German Bietigheim.

The composition of the B-mark eight is as follows: Esbjerg (Denmark), Metz (France), Vipers Kristiansand (Norway), Rapid Bucharest (Romania), Ferencváros, Lubin (Poland), Krim Ljubljana (Slovenia), Ikast (Denmark).

After the draw, we asked the head coach of DVSC SCHAEFFLER, Zoltán Szilágyi. “It’s not an easy group, it’s not an easy task, but we knew exactly that there are no easy opponents in this series. Perhaps we have more chances in Group A than in the other eight, Savehof and Buducsnoszt seem plausible, of course we are not the favorites in these games either. The point is that every match should be a celebration for us! Our goal is to get the sixth place, but this cannot be an expectation. We have to give our maximum in every match, and I am confident that we can achieve feats on home ground, if we succeed, we can also take the sixth place, which would be a huge success for us. We need to formulate goals for the BL group stage, not expectations!”
